Who We Are

We've Been
in the Room.

Two decades of campaigns, boardrooms, and back hallways. Now in one firm.

War Room Meets Boardroom. We've Navigated Both.

Ponyhound was founded on a simple premise: the best firms in Washington are either entrenched in the old guard or trying too hard to look like Silicon Valley startups. We are neither. We're campaign veterans who know how to win, armed with the digital tools and institutional relationships to deliver for clients who demand results.

Between us, we've worked on presidential campaigns, advised Fortune 500-aligned trade associations, navigated the House Financial Services Committee, shaped tariff and trade policy at the highest levels, and marketed brands from the PGA TOUR to the halls of Congress. We've been in the room when it mattered — and we bring that experience to every client engagement.

Ponyhound is bipartisan by design and discreet by nature. We take on clients whose missions we believe in, and we execute with the urgency and precision of a campaign that can't afford to lose.

The Name Says Everything. And Nothing.
The name is a nod to our roots. We'll leave it at that.

Jon Evans is a digital strategist and political veteran with more than two decades of experience building and executing digital programs for presidential campaigns, national advocacy organizations, and Fortune 500-aligned trade associations. A digital-first thinker who has operated at the highest levels of both political and corporate communications, Jon brings rare versatility to every client engagement — equally at home in a campaign war room and a boardroom.

Currently, Jon serves as Digital Director and Senior Adviser for the Coalition for a Prosperous America, the nation's leading bipartisan organization representing domestic producers and workers. CPA was widely recognized as instrumental in shaping the trade and tariff agenda of the Trump administration. In that role, Jon leads CPA's digital strategy, content, and communications operations across its full suite of advocacy initiatives.

Jon has served in senior digital roles across the full spectrum of American politics and policy. He served as Deputy Director of Content for Romney for President, managing the campaign's digital and social media presence during the 2012 presidential race, and later provided digital counsel to the Biden for President campaign and the Democratic Party of Texas during the 2020 cycle — a breadth of bipartisan experience that defines Ponyhound's approach. He also served as a digital adviser to the Republican National Committee during the 2016 convention in Cleveland.

On the advocacy side, Jon has led digital strategy for some of Washington's most influential organizations, including the American Securities Association, the Financial Services Roundtable (now the Bank Policy Institute), Freedom Partners, Americans for Prosperity, Concerned Veterans for America, and the LIBRE Initiative. He also served as Assistant Athletics Director for Digital Strategy and Analytics at the University of Mississippi, and as Director of Digital Marketing for the PGA TOUR's First Tee Foundation.

A multiple Pollie Award winner recognized by the American Association of Political Consultants, Jon holds a B.A. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is a Certified ScrumMaster.

Adam Rice brings nearly 15 years of experience at the highest levels of Washington public affairs, financial services policy, and corporate communications. A seasoned strategist who has worked across Capitol Hill, trade associations, and global advisory firms, Adam has built a career at the precise intersection of politics, policy, and business.

Most recently, Adam served as Chief Public Affairs Officer of the American Securities Association (ASA), where he led the organization's advocacy, communications, and public affairs operations. How We Operate

The Ponyhound Standard.

01
01

Bipartisan by Design

We've worked on both sides of the aisle — from Romney to Biden, from financial services to trade policy advocacy. Our value is that we understand every seat at the table.

02
02

Discrete by Nature

Some of our most important work never makes headlines — unless that's the strategy. We handle sensitive client relationships with the discretion that high-stakes campaigns and corporate matters demand.

03
03

Digital First, Always

Every strategy we build starts with the digital layer — where audiences live, where messages travel, and where campaigns are won or lost. We don't bolt digital on at the end.

04
04

Urgency Over Process

Campaigns don't wait for consensus. Neither do we. We move with the urgency of an organization that understands what's at stake — because we've been in those rooms before.

05
05

Results, Not Billables

We measure success the same way our clients do — did the vote move, did the story change, did the needle shift? We're not here to run up hours. We're here to win.

06
06

Small by Choice

We're not building an agency. We're building a firm. Every client gets the founders — not junior staff. That's a deliberate choice, and it's one we're proud of.
